Ms. Souad Aden-Osman
Executive Director

Ms. Souad Aden-Osman is the Executive Director of the Secretariat for the Coalition for Dialogue on Africa (CoDA), a special initiative of the African Union, African Development Bank, United Nations Economic Commission for Africa and the African Export-Import Bank. She additionally serves as the Head of the Secretariat of the African Union High-Level Panel on Illicit Financial Flows from Africa. Under her leadership, CoDA supported the establishment of the African Business Council, coordinated the preparation and adoption by the African Union Assembly of the Common African Position on Asset Recovery (CAPAR), and steered several initiatives including improved access to vaccines and vaccinations in Africa as well as the enhancement of good democratic governance on the continent. Prior to her current roles, Ms. Aden-Osman served as the Head of the Joint Secretariat Support Office for the African Union, African Development Bank and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. In these roles, she was involved in continental efforts to respond to challenges related to climate change and natural resource management.

Ms. Aden-Osman currently coordinates the work of the Consortium of organizations established to implement the recommendations of the High Level Panel on IFFs”.

Mr. Oladipo Edmond Johnson
Technical Adviser

Mr Oladipo Edmond Johnson is Technical Adviser for the Secretariat of the Coalition for Dialogue on Africa, where he provides technical and programmatic support to the Board of Directors, Executive Director and the institution as a whole. Mr Johnson manages the communications and advocacy activities for CoDA. He served within the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa from 2013 to 2017 as Programme Manager for the Secretariat of the High-Level Panel and Consortium to Stem Illicit Financial Flows from Africa, which is now hosted by CoDA. He worked as a Policy and Advocacy Officer in the Capacity Development Division of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa and as Communications Officer at the African Union Commission. Prior to this, he worked with the government and private sectors (2009–2012) of the United Kingdom where he obtained a master’s degree in international management and organisational communications (2009) from the Royal Holloway University of London. Mr Johnson is from Nigeria and holds a bachelor’s degree from Covenant University, Nigeria. He is a practicing Prince 2 Project Manager and has contributed to several publications, including the High-Level Panel Report on IFFs from Africa and its resultant African Union Special Declaration on Illicit Financial Flows from Africa, ECA’s African Governance Report and APRM Report on Good Governance.

Mr Seid Ali
Finance and Accounting Officer

Mr Seid Ali currently serves as part-time Finance and Accounting Officer at CoDA where he provides support on all financial matters, including financial management, budget development, procurement and resource mobilization. He maintains the financial records, produces periodic financial statements and oversees external and internal financial audits. Seid has more than 28 years of experience in accounting and finance with non-governmental, multinational and private companies, including in the banking and insurance sectors. He is an accredited Authorized Accountant in Ethiopia. In addition to his part-time role at CoDA, Seid holds a finance managerial position at East Africa Metals (Canada) and Silk Road Investment (China), he is a financial consultant to Sun Peak Ltd (Subsidiary to Sun Peak Metals Corp (Canada)) and other local and international companies. Before joining CoDA, he worked as Senior Accountant for BHP Billiton Ethiopia, SAP ERP Assistant for Deliote Consulting (Kenya) Ltd, and as a consultant for World Bank Ethiopia. Mr Seid holds a Master of Science degree in Information Science and a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is aware of IFRS (full version), IFRS for SME, and IPSAS. He speaks English and Amharic languages.

Ms Tigist
Tadesse Administrative Assistant

Ms Tigist Tadesse is an Administrative Assistant with more than nine years of work experience with CoDA, where she is responsible for providing a full range of office management and administrative support to the secretariat. Before joining CoDA she had worked in the private sector, serving as Marketing Officer at General Import and Export Trading Plc from 2008 to 2011. Prior to this, she worked with a private university in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, as a Distance Education Department Tutorial and Assessment Officer from 2007 to 2008. Ms Tadese holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Pune University, India.

Ms Eden Tewelde Messele
Administrative Assistant

Ms Eden Tewelde Messele is an Administrative Assistant with more than five years of work experience at CoDA, where she provides administrative, operational and logistics support, and helps in compiling periodic programme reports and updates. Some of her duties include following up on payments, contractual agreements and purchases; coordinating travels; scheduling meetings; supporting internal and external correspondence; and maintaining paper and electronic internal databases. Prior to joining CoDA, Eden worked as Staff Assistant at the Joint Secretariat Support Office of UNECA where she supported operationalization of Inspira and Umoja. She holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Unity University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Gondar. Eden speaks English and Amharic languages.
